The Bella goby is arguably one of the most visually appealing species of sand sifting goby. Bella Gobies are typically found in the sandy or silty bottoms of coastal reefs, lagoons, and sheltered areas. They naturally sift through the sand and silt for micro organisms to feed on. Once a incredibly rare fish, these little gobies have recently been discovered everywhere! Their range was originally thought to be primarily around japan, however they are now found in the Philippines and much of the Indo-Pacific.

Care information:

The Bella goby is a great fish to keep sand beds (in tanks over 40 gallons) clean. These little fish will work tirelessly; constantly turning over and aerating your sand. This keeps the sand from collecting excess debris from settling. While closely related to the gold headed goby, these fish are relatively Hardy and do not tend to waste away long-term. they will actively  be prepared food and one settled may not even require target feeding. While generally a hearty fish, these fish can have difficulty shipping and with quarantine. it is very common for them to perish from copper poisoning and may need more attention. As with all long skinny fish, a tight lid is a great idea as these fish can make great jumpers.
